Full Description

Our client in the South East is looking to appoint a Public Health Commissioner for SENDwith the role falling under the Children, Learning and skills department. Children's Services in the borough are divided between CLS (Children's, Learning & Skills) which comprises 3 services, Early Years/Early Help, Inclusion (SEND, Attendance, Educational Psychologists), Schools , and CST (Children's Services Trust) which includes all children's social care services and the virtual school.

You will be responsible for providing commissioning leadership to CLS in response to meeting the needs of children with SEND and to develop a robust SEND commissioning and compliance framework for SEND Services to ensure they meet the needs of children and young people.

In this role it will be key that you develop joint commissioning arrangements with Health providers and esnsure legislation, compliance, taking into account the Children and Families Act 2014, and Children's Act 1989, in respect of Special Educational Needs.
You will also be responsible for ensuring robust specification/contract monitoring for SEND services.

For this assignment it is ESSENTIAL that you have experience in Procurement, Contract management, specification development and that you have been successful in involvement in improving outcomes/raising achievement by the application of quality assurance methods. You must also demonstrate success in supporting positive outcome for Children's and Young People.

The contract for this role is up to 6 months with the likley chance of extension thereafter. The assignment allows remote working and the daily pay rate sits at £400-£450.
