Osborne Richardson has an excellent opportunity for a Transport Project Manager to join a busy local authority in Oxfordshire for a contract role. You will support the Programme Lead and oversee the delivery of the major transport projects from design through to construction.
You will be responsible for the development of project plans, programmes and risk registers as well as detailed budget/funding plans. You will develop stakeholder and engagement (consultation) plans and related activities, including regular stakeholder liaison as well as taking the lead on commissioning management of design consultants, design approvals and procurement processes.
We are looking for a candidate with a degree in a subject related to transport planning or traffic engineering and an understanding of how traffic and transport policies and techniques can be applied to achieve certain objectives. You will need to have good communication skills as you will be dealing with a wide range of stakeholders and community groups on a daily basis to convey complex, detailed information in a clear, concise format.
This role will run until the 30th November and is offering a day rate of £475 (inside IR5). The ability to drive and the possession of a current driving licence, or ability to demonstrate an effective means of travel to remote areas of the county, are essential. A job spec is available upon request.
