Our client is a local authority in Hertfordshire which is undergoing a significant amount of growth and change and they are seeking a Regeneration Project Manager to join their Programme Management Office for a contract position.
Reporting to the Head of Property Investment & Regeneration and the Senior Regeneration Manager you will work on and progress key elements of the Council’s Property and Regeneration Programmes. You will co-ordinate the delivery of outcomes for local people by supporting the development of high quality places and buildings in a way that supports the Council, and in particular to:
• Co-ordinate and where necessary manage the procurement and the delivery of assigned key projects within the Council’s regeneration programme, working with a wide range of Council officers, consultants and partner organisation representatives.
• Maintain stakeholder support and Member support for assigned key projects and for the programme.
• Manage budgets effectively on projects, ensuring that budgets are met and that variances are managed.
• Ensure high standards of project management, working with established systems and reporting to the Enterprise Project Management Office.
• Ensure that procurement protocols are adhered to and that Best Value is achieved.
• Meet targets, to report performance and to maintain the confidence of Members and stakeholders in the regeneration service
To apply you will need to hold a relevant planning/surveying related qualification and a proven track record in delivering major regen projects. You will need experience of working within a politically driven organisation operating at a senior level with elected or board members and you will a strong knowledge and knowledge of legislation pertaining to businesses, and especially of regeneration. You will be able to illustrate extensive project management capability including managing multi-disciplinary teams and projects. You will also have an extensive record of successful collaboration, liaison, influencing, negotiation and communication with a wide range of stakeholders.
The role will initially be offered for 6 months and the rate offered will be up to £450/day depending on your experience. This role is inside IR35.
