Our client is a local authority based in East London which is seeking an experienced Project Manager (Mechanical & Electrical Projects) to join their Technical Services Team and assist them on a specific project.
You will be responsible for carrying out a detailed review of the service regimes across the full range of M&E plant and equipment for a number of client properties. You will be required to create effective maintenance regimes in line with SFG20 and review all existing documents against this bench mark.
You will be responsible for appointing and managing a range of property related professional services and procuring the design and construction elements of construction related services for corporate capital projects. You will also have responsibility for ensuring that all the objectives are met across development and delivery phases.
Applicants for this post should be degree educated in Surveying, Construction or similar and have proven experience of working in a similar role within a local authority setting. The role requires a broad based knowledge of all aspects of Mechanical and Electrical systems from Gas Fired boiler systems, Large Ventilation plant, Fire Alarm systems, Emergency lighting, Lifts, Automatic Air Vents, Fall arrests systems through to refrigeration and Air conditioning.
You must be capable of taking responsibility for reviewing all existing technical service documents available against the plant and systems on site, and comment on suitability, accuracy and quality of documents with recommendations of any technical actions required.
The role will initially run until the end of June but could be extended and the rate offered is £300/day (inside IR35). Full JD is available on application.
