Our client is looking for a Programme Manager to work within Children’s Services. This is a senior management role that will report to the Director of Programme Management.
You will have responsibility for system wide development and delivery of multiple Children’s Services programmes. Your work will focus on undertaking an operational management role within a relatively small team and you will facilitate transformation and systems / service improvement through the application of high levels of specialist knowledge around the children and young people’s agenda. You will achieve this through identifying, defining and delivering programmes of work to cost and time and within a complex governance structure.
We are therefore looking for an established and confident Programme Manager with an appropriate level of senior management experience within a Local Authority setting. We need a strong decision maker who can use initiative to decide relevant actions and make recommendations with the aim of improving deliverables and compliance to policies.
Your CV and work experience will need to show a proven track record in managing and delivering complex work programmes, working with a range of stakeholders and a detailed knowledge of project principles techniques and tools such risk management, project life cycle and quality controls.
The initial contract will be 3-6 months
