Our client is ideally looking for someone with previous experience of FM and construction related contracts to take up the role of Procurement Category Officer; consideration will be given to those with solid procurement experience in other Local Authority departments.
This is an excellent opportunity that will last at least 3-6 months but given the nature of the work it could well go on for some time. Our client is a Local Authority in East London.
You will work closely with stakeholders to control expenditure through the adoption of a Category Management approach to procurement. You will provide a professional procurement service for the strategic procurement of a range of goods, services and works. A key component of the role will involve checking all sourcing and contract management activity is undertaken in accordance with the Council’s Contract Standing Orders and UK & EU procurement legislation so you will need a good understanding of Local Authority procurement practice.
The role will pay at least £425/day (umbrella) and is 100% home based. Full JD available on application.
