Our client is a Local Authority based in South West London. They are currently looking to appoint a Procurement Category Manager to work on some very specific regen projects. You will lead the non housing elements within the Housing and Property Category working as part of the wider Procurement team.
On a daily basis you will engage with and advise stakeholders including directorate staff up to Strategic Director, partners and technical consultants to ensure robust procurement and sound governance. You will assist with managing a team of 5 undertaking the procurement processes for a variety of FTS procurement processes and framework call offs. The main focus of your work will be on the pre-procurement and tender stages.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record who can quickly fit into the team. You will need to be well organised with a thorough understanding of Local Authority procurement guidelines.
The rate will be £350/day (inside IR35) and the initial contract will be 3-4 months but veyr likely to extend beyond.
