Excellent opportunity to secure a senior role within our client’s procurement team. They are looking for someone who can manage the service team that provides procurement and contract management advice, guidance and support to procuring and contracting services of the Council.
They will consider applicants from a range of backgrounds within Local Authority procurement so long as you can demonstrate excellent contracts knowledge and previous managerial experience.
As Procurement and Contracts Manager you will serve to ensure best practice in procurement and contract management is adhered to across the Council. You will provide technical assurance and you will work to develop internal standards, policies and procedures within the specialist/category area. You will make full use of your extensive procurement knowledge to lead projects around major procurement contracts within the Council.
We are looking for someone with strong managerial experience who can adopt an integrated, collaborative approach to work. You will need to be a confident communicator who can lead and advise others and instil confidence in your team members. You will have a keen eye for detail and you will be systematic and methodical in your approach to service delivery.
The role will pay up to £550 /day and initially be offered for 3-4 months although there is strong possibility of extension. Our client is based in Berkshire and open to a home / office hybrid role. Full JD available on application.
