Full Description
Our client, a Local Authority in Berkshire, is looking for an experienced Enforcement Officer with a working knowledge of Private Sector Housing casework to join their Residential and Environmental Protection Team on a 6 month contract. You’ll respond to reactive service requests and private sector housing condition complaints, carry out HMO inspections and licence applications, and inspect residential caravan sites and mobile home sites. The role also covers housing condition referrals from Adult and Children’s services and pest issues. You’ll contribute to the duty rota, providing a first response to service requests.
Candidates should have skills and experience across reactive private sector housing casework, HMOs, mobile home sites and residential caravan sites. An Environmental Health degree or diploma is ideal, although relevant experience will be considered in its place. You’ll need to provide a CV outlining your relevant experience, your qualifications and a CPD record. A full driving licence and your own car, insured for business use, are essential, along with experience of a Civica database or a similar system used for regulatory enforcement.
This role pays £50 to £55 per hour (Umbrella) on a 6 month contract and is based in Berkshire. Most working days will involve site visits within the Borough, within approximately 30 minutes of the Council offices, with some remote or office based working. If interested, please get in touch to discuss further or submit your CV.
