Our client is looking for you to take the lead role in dealing with urban design matters in the Borough. They are one of London’s largest and as such you will be exposed to a wide range of projects and you will have the chance to make real impact.
You will work on a busy caseload of applications and you will play a vital role in working with developers to secure high quality, planning policy compliant design. On a regular basis you will review and provide formal commentary on planning applications, pre-planning enquiries and work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure designs are robust and in line with wider development objectives.
We are looking for an established Urban Design Officer who can bring a range of diverse experience to the role alongside the ability to act as the Lead Officer, be comfortable with responsibility and confident in decision making. Your experience should be focused on local authority design schemes and you will be good at solving design problems and proposing effective solutions.
The initial contract will run 3-5 months and our client will pay up to £52/hr (umbrella). They are based in West London so you will need to be in the area so you can attend office as required as well as carry out site work around the Borough.
