Excellent opportunity for a Principal Transport Planner to take up a contract role with our local authority client in South West London. You will play a key role in helping manage the departments' output and you will act as the key contact for a number of transport projects serving to provide expert planning advice. You will be required to implement effective methods of consultation and customer care on highways and transport issues and schemes. This role will also require the successful candidate to provide advise on the drafting of planning and highway legal agreements, and overseeing the delivery of transport and highway improvements post-planning approval.
To apply you will need to be degree qualified and able to demonstrate extensive experience of working with a Planning Transport within a Local Authority and assessing a range of schemes from pre-application to planning approval stages. It is essential that you have an understanding of the principal responsibilities of and the key issues facing local government and the public sector and a detailed knowledge and understanding of transport, traffic and highways statutory duties and practice.
This has initially been released as a 3 month contract but it is expected to be a rolling contract and the rate offered is flexible depending on experience. This role is inside IR35.Please get in touch for further information.
