Our client, based in North London require a Principal Planning Policy Officer to join their Policy team. In this role you will lead on research, data analysis, public consultation in relation to planning policy matters, drafting policy documents and take an active role in responding to planning proposals submitted to the council. Specifically you will be required to support the drafting of the environment and sustainability aspects of the Local Plan and relevant evidence, draft the Local Plan Monitoring Report and Housing Trajectory and bring LDD monitoring up to date and to lead on starts and completions exercise.
To apply for this role you will need a relevant degree level qualification and, ideally, professional accreditation. Good negotiation and communication skills are essential as you will provide advice to a number of stakeholders and lead on community consultation exercises. You will need to be comfortable in a lead role and able to undertake team management duties when necessary.
This contract will initially be offered as a 3 month contract but is expected to be extended beyond this and the rate offered will depend on your level of experience. For more information please get in touch.
