Full Description
Our client requires an experienced Principal Planning Officer (Development Management) to take on a large and varied caseload of planning applications including major and the more controversial proposals. You will be expected to manage your own caseload so you will be involved at every stage of the development process and key to your success will be your ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders and to ensure schemes are delivered efficiently and in line with wider planning objectives for the area.
To apply you will need a relevant planning degree, extensive development management experience and an excellent knowledge of UK planning regulations and guidance; ideally you will be professionally accredited. You will also have experience of managing a caseload of major planning applications, have good leadership and negotiation skills and be comfortable dealing with external organisations.
The role is based in the East Midlands, will initially be offered for 18 weeks but could be extended beyond this. The rate offered is £55/hr Umbrella, this role is inside IR35.
Our client offers hybrid working, with 2 days working from home, 3 days in he office.
