As a Principal Planning Officer working in our clients DM Team you will lead on complex medium and major planning applications. At this grade you can expect to manage your own caseload and you will be expected to work under minimal supervision.
You will work on schemes end to end so you will make full use of your strong technical knowledge. You will lead negotiations and make recommendations on all types of planning and related applications including the consideration of S106/CIL. As a Principal Planning Officer you will help support the Team Leader in allocating work and supervising junior staff.
The successful candidate for this role will be an established Principal Planning Officer with a proven track record in managing complex planning schemes. Ideally RTPI qualified you will have an excellent working knowledge of UK planning regs and you will be comfortable in a lead technical capacity within a team.
The role will run at least 3-6 months and is likely to extend on a rolling 3 month basis thereafter. Rates are negotiable; we’d expect £50-£60/hr (umbrella). Our client is a Local Authority in North London.
