Our client is a Local Authority in West London and they are currently recruiting for a Principal Planning Contributions Officer to join them for a contract role and assist them in manging and monitoring Planning Obligations from Section 106 Agreements.
They have a very busy programme so they will need you to be competent in this area of work and able to hit the ground running. Working in their Planning and Transport Division you will be responsible for writing delegated reports assessing S106 compliance, investigating potential breaches of S106 covenants and other matters to deliver infrastructure across the borough. You'll also provide advice and support to Development Management Case Officers involved in Section 106 negotiations including providing consultation responses on recommended Heads of Terms for new legal agreements. You may also support the process of allocating S106 funds.
To apply for these roles previous work experience is essential as our client requires candidates who are competent enough to make positive contributions from day 1. You will have a proven track record of working independently on a full range of S106 Agreement work including responsibility for high profile planning applications, working to tight deadlines in a manner that is consistent with meeting corporate targets and objectives and that requires minimal support. Good admin skills are essential alongside a high level of IT literacy and you will need good communication skills and confidence when it comes to dealing with external third parties. A keen eye for detail and good mathematics skills are also required.
This role will be based in West London and it will initially be offered as a 3 month contract but it is expected to be a rolling contract. Our client is offering £35/hr inside IR35 for this position. A full job spec is available at application stage.
