Osborne Richardson are working with a Local Authority in Sussex which requires an interim Principal Planner to join them for a contract role which will run for 6 - 12 months.
This role is within their Development Management teams and this post holder will be dealing with a range of planning applications including major and complex planning applications.
The main responsibilities of the post include processing complex and varied planning applications, including the preparation of case officer/committee reports, providing professional pre-application advice to the public, members and developers via their pre-application advice service and daily duty officer phone line and presenting applications at Planning Committee meetings.
In order to be considered for this role you will need to have a Degree or equivalent in Town and Planning or a related discipline, be a member of the RTPI and have extensive working knowledge and experience of development management processes, ideally within a Local Authority setting.
The rate offered will depend on your experience but is expected to be up to £50/hr Umbrella. This role is inside IR35.
Our client offers hybrid working with office attendance generally once a week. You will also need to attend committee meetings as and when required.
