Principal Planner (Focusing on Telecoms applicatio

Our client is a very busy council in Cambridgeshire who are seeking a Principal Planning Officer to work on major applications, with a focus on Telecoms applications.

You will assist the Team Leader in managing the statutory Development Management functions, preparing reports and recommendations and appeal statements and giving evidence to public hearings/ inquiries. You will determine planning applications, including major schemes from application through negotiation to implementation and delivery.

Applicants must be qualified Town Planners with demonstrable experience of dealing with large scale proposals. Experience of working at Principal level is desirable as is experience of processing telecoms applications.
You must have experience engaging with multi-disciplinary teams across different organisations and be politically aware.

This is a contract position which will initially run until March 2023. The rate offered will be between £40-£47 per hour (inside IR35) depending on your experience.
