Full Description

In this role you will manage a case load of planning enforcement investigations within a busy local authority in the Midlands. They will likely be focused on residential properties but may also include commercial premises. As a Planning Enforcement Officer your fundamental role will be to carry out site visits and investigate potential planning control breaches. You will be required to record evidence and detailed information in a precise format as it may be required should a case progress to prosecution.

To carry out this role it is absolutely essential you have worked within a similar capacity within a local authority setting. You will need a good working knowledge of planning legislation and you will need to be well organised. As you will be largely working under your own initiative you will need to be disciplined in your approach to work and you will need to be able to manage work within agreed timeframes. Formal town planning qualifications are not absolutely necessary if you have an equivalent level of work experience in this specialist area.

The rate offered will be between £35/hr inside IR35 and this will initially be offered for 3 months. This will be a home working role but you will be required to carry out your own site visits. Please get in touch for further information.
