Our client is a South East London local authority who are seeking a Principal Conservation and Design Officer to take responsibility for the processing of conservation and urban design matters relating to development control and planning policy. You will be responsible for handling pre-application advice, applications, negotiations with developers, appeals and enforcement work.
Applicants for this post must have a post grad qualification in Town Planning and relevant post qualification experience in a planning environment of which a significant element relates to conservation.
The role is a contract post which will initially be offered as a 3 month contract, though it is expected to be a long term rolling contract. It’s a part-time role offering 28hrs per week and hybrid working.
