Our client is a local authority based in North West London and they require 2 qualified Town Planners to carry out a role within their Development Management Team, they require both a Senior Planner and a Principal Officer.
Both roles will examine and evaluate all types of planning applications made under the Town and Country Planning Acts and related legislation, provide pre-application advise, assess whether proposals are in accordance with Council's policies and liaises with officers of other directorates on matters arising from planning. Additionally you will assist with carrying out project briefs and feasibility studies in relation to regeneration and/or economic strategy work.
Recent work experience is essential and ideally you will have gained experience within London. Your knowledge of current planning legislation and guidelines will need to be fully up to date. You will need to have good communication skills as you will be dealing with a wide range of stakeholders on a daily basis to convey complex, detailed information in a clear, concise format.
The rates offered will be between £28-£30 for the Senior Planner and £35-£40 for the Principal Planner. Please get in touch for further information.
