As a Pre-Application Support Officer you will play a vital support role to the planning team with a focus on work undertaken within Development Management. You will be dealing with a range of day to day admin tasks including obtaining, recording and organising financial data in respect of planning applications. You will also be viewing planning documentation, recording details and responding to basic queries and requests for information (RFIs).
We have previously found that these roles are very well suited to Planning graduates who have obtained at least some practical work experience, possibly via an internship or work placement or a recent assignment within a Local Authority planning team i.e. those at an early stage in their career. You will need good admin skills and familiarity with some of the technical language used and you will need to be a confident communicator, particularly when dealing with people over the phone.
Our client is a Local Authority in East London and will be looking to offer a minimum 4 month contract which is very likely to extend. The pay rate is very good, £20/hr (umbrella) and the standard working week is 35 hours.
This is an excellent opportunity to secure great role in a Local Authority planning department.
