Following a highly successful recruitment drive earlier this year we are now actively recruiting again for a new round of roles within our clients Port Health team. As the implications of Brexit take a hold they will need to add further resource to their team to help manage a huge volume of work at their brand new Border Control Facility in Kent. These roles will offer the chance to be involved in a major UK infrastructure project and as such will offer unique and exciting long term career opportunities. The Council is working very closely with DEFRA and the project will involve multiple partner agencies and organisations and you will be presented with an opportunity to take your career in a whole new direction.
We have had great feedback from the candidates we placed earlier in the year and now there is a new opportunity for you to take up a once in a lifetime role in the team as a Port Health Support Officer. Our client is looking to recruit up to 12 candidates to this team.
For this role, you will work independently or when legislatively required under the supervision of Official Veterinarians / Port Health Officers. You will make an effective contribution to the development and achievement of the Ashford Border BCP health protection and business objectives.
Port Health Support Officer - £30,694.00 - £33,539.00
All salaries are subject to +14% shift allowance.
The role would be well suited to those from an environmental health background, anyone with previous Port Health experience would be ideal. With this being said, we have successfully placed people previously with minimum Environmental Health experience! For this particular role, our clients are also willing to consider EH Grads are those who have some experience within this field.
