Osborne Richardson have an excellent opportunity for a Policy Planning Officer to join an award winning Planning Team with a Local Authority based in Essex. This role sits within our clients Department for Place and will require you to assist our client with the development of their Local Plan which includes a major mixed-use regeneration scheme, a football stadium and seafront and leisure development.
This role will require you to provide interpretation of planning guidance and legislation and advise on planning policy issues. You will deal with enquiries from the public, developers, potential developers, other authorities, Council Members and relevant clients. You will provide advice on planning, regeneration and economic development issues and proposals involving policy interpretation, planning law, development control, design or environment nature.
Recent work experience is essential and your knowledge of current planning legislation and guidelines will need to be fully up to date. You will need to have good communication skills as you will be dealing with a wide range of stakeholders on a daily basis to convey complex, detailed information in a clear, concise format.
This is a permanent position offering a salary of between £31,371 to £41,876.
