Our client in the South East of England is looking to appoint a PMO and Programme Delivery Manager to help drive, lead and manage major and complex change at pace to increase the efficiency and improved outcomes for the council, ensuring involvement and engagement with key stakeholders.
The service provides core services and leads across the Council on customer services strategy and standards, information technology, disaster recovery and business continuity planning and strategic engagement with the public and the Council through quality communications.
As the post-holder, you will be accountable for the monitoring of delivery and analysis of strategic Business Change Programmes and supporting development of the governance framework. You must assure the quality and accuracy of planning and reporting across projects and programmes, capture and disseminate lessons learned and emerging best practice to drive present and future programme development.
You will manage the PMO within the governance processes established for the Programme portfolio. This will include set up and continuation of appropriate reporting frameworks, alignment to programme governance cycles, ensuring programme level risks and issues are highlighted and managed and supporting the Project Managers in delivery of consistent outputs.
This assignment is set for an initial period of 3 months, with a likely extension thereafter and the pay rate is ranging between £430 - £500/day umbrella. The client is ideally looking for someone with relevant Programme, PMO or Project Management qualifications, skills and experience, preferably within a local authority setting or similar.
