Our client is a Local Authority based in South London and they require a Planning Technician to join their Planning Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate with some experience in a town planning setting to support the Development Management, Enforcement and Building Control Teams. Your duties will include vetting and processing planning applications, compiling and downloading information from the planning portal and compiling relevant documentation required to progress planning applications. You will also be required to join site visits and provide administrative support.
The role would be perfect for a Town Planning Graduate with some previous related work experience and an understanding of UK planning administration and terminology. It is important that you can handle complex, detailed information and you have the ability to respond and provide accurate information when required.
This is a contract role which will initially be offered for 6 months and the rate will be between £16 - £19 per hour.
