Osborne Richardson have an opportunity for a Planning Validation Officer to join a busy local authority in Hertfordshire. As Planning Validation Officer you will be involved with a range of administrative functions concerned with the processing and handling of planning applications including receiving and logging applications, validating applications to check for content and preparing documents to be used in planning committee meetings; you will also assist in drafting planning notice letters.
Other duties will include dealing with inbound calls and providing advice to customers. On a day to day basis you will deal with a high volume of enquiries and you will help manage a busy flow of emails. Another key function of the role will be utilising our clients document management system to index application documents.
Previous experience with validating planning applications is essential as training will not be provided, as is a good understanding of the terminology and the planning application process.
The role will initially be offered for 3 months though it likely to roll on for longer and the rate will depend on your experience. Our client offers hybrid working with 1 day a week in the office.
