This will be a dual role with the joint requirement of managing your own caseload whilst also assuming responsibility for supervising and managing a team of planning officers for the delivery of the Council's statutory Minerals and Waste planning function.
Ideally we are looking for someone with previous expeirence in a team lead capacity but the role may also suit an established Principal grade planner who can show experience leading projects and project teams who is looking for a new challenge and is confident in their ability to take on the role of Team Leader with direct supervisory responsibility. At this level we would expect professional accreditation and a proven track record of successfully managing busy caseloads. It is essential that you are able to communicate effectively and your technical kowledge of UK planning legislation is very strong.
The role is home based for the moment. The client is based in North Yorkshire so you must be prepared to go into the office if absolutely necessary. The initial contract is 3 months with a view to extend and we'd expect a rate of £40-£50/hr (umbrella). The role is inside IR35.
