Full Description

Our client based in East London is looking to appoint an experienced Planning Policy Manager. You will have line management of up to seven staff including policy planners, CIL & S106 officers, Street Naming & Numbering and LLPG officers and you will have responsibility for taking forward the review of our clients Local Plan. You will use your expertise to incorporate land use and planning policy, research and statistics and work on the preparation of strategic and site specific plans and policies. You will be working with a wide range of stakeholders and can expect to come into contact with elected members, statutory and non-statutory bodies, developers and public stakeholders.

To apply you will need to have a significant level of previous planning policy experience and ideally proven line management experience, however candidates with strong policy experience at a senior level will also be considered. You will need to have a good breadth of knowledge in relation to policy development and you will need a thorough understanding of UK planning legislation. A relevant degree level qualification is essential and ideally you will have professional accreditation.

The rate offered currently is £48p/hr umbrella though there is room for negotiation depending on expeirence. Our client is also interested in candidates who are looking to make the move into management. A full JD is available on application, contact us for further info.
