Our client is a Local Authority based in Devon and they require a DM Planning Officer to join them for a contract role ASAP and process a varied caseload of planning applications. They need an experienced officer who has recently worked with a local authority in a similar role.
To apply for this role you will need an excellent working knowledge of UK planning legislation. You will need good stakeholder engagement skills and an understanding of the context of planning policy on development projects. You must be able to work well under pressure and have the ability to manage a large caseload of applications.
Our client will pay £37/hr (they are potentially open to negotiations around rates) and this role is inside IR35. It is initially running until the 31st March 2024 and it is a hybrid role. The successful candidate will have to to be able to go into the office regularly (once a week/fortnightly) to undertake site visits. You will need access to your own vehicle in order to carry out site visits.
