Our client is a local authority based in Dorset and they require a degree qualified Town Planner to carry out a role within their Development Management Team. Your work will focus on dealing with a caseload of householder and minor/medium applications including applications for plots of land and you will also be required to respond to written representations. Our client is seeking someone who is capable of managing their own caseload effectively, can process applications efficiently and is able to hit the ground running.
A few years experience of working in development management is essential and your knowledge of current planning legislation and guidelines will need to be fully up to date. You will need to have good communication skills as you will be dealing with a wide range of stakeholders on a daily basis to convey complex, detailed information in a clear, concise format.
The role will be offered for an initial 6 month period and the rate will be between £30 - £33/hr depending upon experience.
