Osborne Richardson are working with a Local Authority in Essex which requires a Planning Officer to join them for a contract role within their Development Management team.
Your work will focus on dealing with a caseload of minor and house holder planning applications and you will be providing expert technical advice at every stage. On a daily basis you will be completing reports, carrying out site visits where required and representing the Council at committee.
To apply you will need to have at least 2 years’ of recent experience within a local authority development management team, however, consultancy experience is also welcome. A good grasp of UK planning legislation is required and you will need to have good communication skills and a positive attitude towards furthering your knowledge and gaining more technical experience. A relevant town planning degree is required.
The rate offered is £30/hr Umbrella. This role is insider IR35.
It is initially a 3 month contract, but there could be potential for it to be extended beyond this.
Our client offers a hybrid working arrangement, you will work from the office once a week. You will need access to a vehicle in order to carry out site visits.
