Osborne Richardson have an excellent role for a Planning Officer to join the Spatial Policy Team of a Local Authority based in Kent. You will be involved in planning policy related work and be expected to contribute towards the preparation of the Development Plan and other planning policy documents under the Planning Acts and related legislation. You will also carry out research, and liaise with other organisations in order to provide information as is required for the attainment of the Council's spatial planning objectives. This will include data collection and the monitoring of development and other information to support the work of the Spatial Policy Team.
The successful candidate for this role will need a well rounded knowledge of current UK planning legislation. Previous work experience within a local authority planning policy team is essential and an appropriate degree level qualification is required. You will need to be well organised with good data management skills and the ability to manage a large amount of complex information. Good communication skills are essential and candidates will need to be able to work with minimal supervision to deliver the project.
The contract will initially run until the end of October 2020 and the rate offered is £25/hr inside IR35. Our client is looking for someone who can start in April so please get in touch for further details including a copy of the job spec.
