Our client, a Local Authority based in East London, requires a Planning Officer to work within their DM team. You will be required to manage a caseload of complex minor and household planning applications and also given opportunity to broaden your skills as you develop within the team. You will join a team working in one of London's most rapidly developing Boroughs so you will gain excellent work experience that will really propel your planning career.
You will not necessarily need a high level of experience for this role and our client will consider those who can show good knowledge of the UK planning system and current planning legislation alongside recent experience of processing planning applications (ideally within another London authority). You will need a basic understanding of the context of planning policy on the planning decision process and you must be able to work well under pressure.
Our client will pay around £20-£23 p/hr depending on experience for this role. This will initially be a 3 month contract though it's expected to be a long term rolling contract due to the amount of work our client has. Contact us for full details.
