Our client, based in Berkshire, require a degree qualified Planning Officer to carry out a role within their Development Management Team. Your work will focus on assessing a caseload of household and minor applications and providing pre-application advice. You will be providing expert technical advice at every stage and on a daily basis you will be completing reports, carrying out site visits where required and representing the Council at committee.
Recent work experience in the field is essential and your knowledge of current planning legislation and guidelines will need to be fully up to date. You will need to have good communication skills as you will be dealing with a wide range of stakeholders on a daily basis to convey complex, detailed information in a clear, concise format. Applicants must have a drivers licence, pool electric cars and electric bikes are available.
The role will initially be offered as a 3 month position but is expected to roll on for longer than this and the rate will be up to £25 per hour umbrella. Please get in touch for further information.
