Our client, based in East London, requires a Planning Officer to carry out a role focused on processing minor planning applications. The role would suit those with around 12 months of development management experience within a local authority setting. You will carry out research work and collate data and you will have the opportunity to be involved in all elements of our clients development management function.
To carry out this role you will need a relevant town planning degree and a good grasp of UK planning legislation. You will need to be confident responding to incoming queries and dealing with external organisations and individuals. As this is a fairly junior role support will be available but you will be expected to show initiative and be prepared to take on work from day one.
The role will be offered for at least 6 months and our client is looking for a start ASAP. The rate will be around £25/hr so this is a good opportunity to secure long term work at a market leading rate.
