Our client is a Local Authority based in Devon and they require a DM Planning Officer to join them ASAP. They are looking for Officers to manage a varied caseload of householder and minor/medium planning applications. They are not necessarily looking for a high level of experience and will consider those who can show good knowledge of the UK planning system and current planning legislation alongside recent experience of processing planning applications.
To apply for these role you will need an excellent working knowledge of UK planning legislation. You will need good stakeholder engagement skills and an understanding of the context of planning policy on development projects. You must be able to work well under pressure and have experience of managing a large caseload of applications.
Our client will pay around £20-£30 p/hr (inside IR35) depending on experience and initially this contract will be offered for 3 months but could be extended due to the workload our client has.
