Our client, a Local Authority based in the South East of London, requires a DM Planning Officer to join them ASAP. They are looking for someone who is capable of manging a caseload of minor planning applications, and as they have a very busy workload you will be expected to hit the ground running. They are not necessarily looking for a high level of experience and will consider those who can show good knowledge of the UK planning system and current planning legislation alongside recent experience of processing planning applications.
To apply you will need a relevant town planning degree, work experience within development management and good organisational skills. You must be able to work well under pressure and have the ability to manage a varied caseload of applications.
Our client will pay around £18-£24/hr depending on experience. Initially the contract will be offered for 3 months, but this could be extended due to the workload our client has.
