Full Description

Our client, a local authority based in Devon, requires a Town Planning Enforcement Officer to join them for a contract role which will initially be offered for 6 months. This is a customer-focused role and you will assist in the timely and appropriate conclusion of planning enforcement cases, both new and historic.

You will be responsible for providing expert technical advice at every stage of an enforcement case. On a daily basis you will be completing reports on enforcement investigations, documenting relevant technical information to help inform the decision making process and where necessary act as evidence in prosecution cases. You will need to carry out site visits and interviews where required, and represent the Council at committee meetings.

Recent work experience in the field is essential and your knowledge of current planning legislation and guidelines will need to be fully up to date. You will need a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role in order to be considered for this role. You will need to have good communication skills as you will be dealing with a wide range of stakeholders on a daily basis to convey complex, detailed information in a clear, concise format.

This will be a home working role but you will need to carry out site visits were appropriate.

This is a full tine role offering 37hrs per week with a rate of around £30 - £35p/hr depending on your experience. This role is inside IR35. Please get in touch for further information.
