Our Local Authority client based in West London requires a Town Planning Enforcement Officer who can start as soon as possible to join them for a contract role.
This will be customer-focused role and you will assist in the timely and appropriate conclusion of planning enforcement cases, both new and historic. You will be responsible for providing expert technical advice at every stage of an enforcement case. Our client is looking for an Enforcement Officer with at least 4 years of recent experience of working within a similar capacity in a local authority setting.
The cases you work on will likely be focused on residential properties but may also include commercial premises. As a Planning Enforcement Officer your fundamental role will be to carry out site visits and investigate potential planning control breaches. You will be required to record evidence and detailed information in a precise format as it may be required should a case progress to prosecution.
Recent work experience in the field is essential and your knowledge of current planning legislation and guidelines will need to be fully up to date. You will need to have good communication skills as you will be dealing with a wide range of stakeholders on a daily basis to convey complex, detailed information in a clear, concise format.
The rate offered will be £43/hr and this role is inside IR35. This will initially be offered as a 3 month contract but could be extended beyond this.
This will be a home working role though you will need to carry out site visits.
