Our client based in East London requires an experienced Planning Enforcement Officer to pick up an existing case load and handle from start to finish, carefully managing the workload within agreed timescales and within their expected delivery targets.
Applicants must have a minimum of 2-3 years of planning enforcement experience within a local authority setting, including operational, legal and technical issues. You will have experience of investigating and resolving difficult, high profile and significant breaches of legislation, dealing with the public in potentially confrontational situations and of report writing, briefing notes and producing witness statements.
To be considered for this role you will need a significant amount of work experience in the field and you will need a good knowledge of current planning legislation. You will need to be able to work well under you own initiative as you will be expected to take control of your own caseload.
The role has initially been released as a 3 month contract but it is expected to be a long term rolling contract and the and rate offered is up to £33/hr umbrella. This will be a home working role but you will need to carry out your own site visits on a weekly basis. Please get in touch for further information.
