Our client is looking for a Enforcement Town Planner to join them for a contract role in Dorset. In this role you will manage a case load of planning enforcement investigations within a large and busy Borough. These cases will likely be focused on residential properties but may also include commercial premises. As a Planning Enforcement Officer your fundamental role will be to carry out site visits and investigate potential planning control breaches. You will be required to record evidence and detailed information in a precise format as it may be required should a case progress to prosecution.
Ideally our client would like an experienced Enforcement Officer, however they have confirmed that this role would be suited to a Graduate in Town Planning looking for their first career step and exposure to public sector town planning work. Experience of dealing with the public, including in potentially confrontational situations will be beneficial as will experience in writing reports and correspondence and of record keeping.
This role will initially run until the end of September but is likely to be a rolling contract. The rate will depend upon your level of experience but it will be up to £20/hr inside IR35. Please get in touch for further information.
