Our client is a Local Authority in the West Midlands and they are seeking an experienced Enforcement Officer to investigate alleged breaches of planning control.
Your principal responsibilities will be:
• Planning, organising and carrying out the investigation of alleged breaches of planning control by way of paper, computer and on site investigations and monitoring.
• Preparing written reports to Committee or the Head of Planning Services / Planning Development Manager as appropriate with recommendations on cases and performance.
• Resolving as many cases as possible through negotiation. Implementing decisions to take enforcement action or to prosecute under the Planning Acts by preparing and serving the appropriate Notices.

This is initially a 3 month contract and the rate offered will depend on your experience. This role is inside IR35.
Please note that some home working will be possible, balanced with the need for site visits and meetings.
