Our client based in the North West of England urgently requires an experienced Planning Enforcement Officer to join them for a contract role. This is a customer-focused role and you will assist in the timely and appropriate conclusion of planning enforcement cases, both new and historic. You will be responsible for providing expert technical advice at every stage of an enforcement case. On a daily basis you will be completing reports on enforcement investigations, carrying out site visits and interviews where required, and representing the Council at committee meetings.
Recent work experience in the field is essential and your knowledge of current planning legislation and guidelines will need to be fully up to date. You will need to have good communication skills as you will be dealing with a wide range of stakeholders on a daily basis to convey complex, detailed information in a clear, concise format.
This role is expected to run for 6 months, with the potential for an extension. The rate offered is between £35-£40/hr umbrella depending on your experience.
