Our client is a Merseyside Local Authority who are seeking a Planning Conservation Officer to take responsibility for the processing of conservation and urban design matters relating to development control and planning policy.
You will be responsible for handling pre-application advice, applications, negotiations with developers, appeals and enforcement work. You will assist with the strategic planning and regeneration process by providing specialist advice on historic buildings, conservation of the built environment and urban design, ensuring that the historic and architectural fabric of the borough is safeguarded, enhanced and makes a positive contribution to the renewal of the Borough.
Applicants for this post must have a post grad qualification in Town Planning and relevant post qualification experience in a planning environment, of which a significant element must relate to conservation and the consideration of listed building issues.
The role is a contract post which will initially be offered as a 3 month contract though it is expected to be extended beyond this. The rate offered is £37/hr Umbrella and this role is inside IR35. Our client offers hybrid working.
