Full Description
We’re working with a council in East London who are looking for an experienced Environmental Health Officer to take on a 6-month contract. The role is focused on completing Part B inspections under the LAPPC regime, so you’ll need to be confident hitting the ground running and managing your own caseload. This is a great opportunity to make an immediate impact, with the option to work remotely apart from when carrying out inspections. Start date is ASAP. They also need someone who can cover Environmental Protection work as well.
You’ll need strong Environmental Health experience within the UK public sector, with a proven track record of delivering Part B inspections. Excellent knowledge of environmental permitting and compliance is essential, as well as the ability to interpret legislation and produce clear, accurate reports. Strong communication skills and the ability to deal with businesses professionally are key, along with experience of working to deadlines and maintaining high service standards.
In return, the council is offering £40–£45 per hour (umbrella), flexible and high proportion WHF working, and the chance to take ownership of your work while being supported by a friendly and professional team. This is an ideal role for an experienced EHO who enjoys specialist regulatory work and wants to make a difference straight away.
