Our client, based in the South East of England is looking to appoint someone to join the People Strategy and Commissioning Team as the Commissioner responsible for Older People’s Services and Carers.
This role is key to designing and implementing services for older people through high quality commissioning, including residential and extra care services. The role is also responsible for leading on the Carers strategy and delivering the action plan. You will provide expert advice and draw upon best practice and evidence of success in these areas.
As the Older People’s and Carers Commissioner you will join a larger team and become an integral member of the People Strategy Team working closely across the local authority and the Integrated Care Partnership to deliver innovative solutions to improve the health and wellbeing outcomes for local residents.
This role requires strong communication and project management skills to deliver and lead on complex commissioning and transformation projects within Adult Social Care. Key to this role is the ability to organise and deliver market engagement activities with colleagues across the organisation and with partners.
This assignment is set for an initial period of 3 months, with a likely extension thereafter and the pay rate is £450/day umbrella.
