Full Description

Our client are looking for a North London Strategic Partnership Manager to be instrumental in shaping and coordinating strategy development, partnership working, sub-regional programmes and transformational change between North London Boroughs and North London Waste Authority (NLWA), by working collaboratively with the partner authorities, stakeholders and other partners.

Working closely with and on behalf of North London Environment Directors and their senior teams, you will play a key role in supporting the borough’s environmental priorities and ambitions including the response to climate change in relation to waste management, buildings emissions, energy, transport, green economy as well as stakeholder and partner engagement

This role is a member of the senior leadership team that is collectively responsible for the successful management and development of the NLWA partnership. The post holder reports directly to the Corporate Director of Environment (Islington Council) and indirectly to the Chair of the Directors of Environment Group (North London), being specifically responsible for managing and setting the strategic direction for the strategy and commissioning elements, including external consultants who will be used to support the delivery of this area of work.

You will be asked to provide a key interface between the NLWA and constituent Boroughs at all levels and across all aspects including financial, operational, environmental, policy and stakeholder management.

The council has in place hybrid working arrangements, colleagues are expected to be in-borough for part of the working week. It is anticipated that appointees would work from one of the North London Councils’ offices a minimum of 2 days per week.

You will be offered an initial 6 month contract paying up to £450 however we are happy to submit at a higher rate if experience and qualifications justify.
