We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated National Food Safety Manager to take responsibility for food safety across the business's five sites around the country. You will be based at the company's head office in Banyo, QLD, which is a convenient 20 minutes from Brisbane's CBD. Brisbane is a fantastic location with the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast as well as picturesque hinterland within easy driving distance. There are outstanding schools, lower housing costs and all the shops and services you would expect in a growing state capital.
The purpose of this position is to ensure the business and customers are protected from any food safety issues and to drive a positive culture across all sites.
Typical duties include:
Build strong relationships with Quality, Manufacturing and the senior leadership team
Review of the current food safety program
Work with Supply Chain, Quality and Manufacturing to ensure suppliers are compliant with company specifications
Drive a food safe and high quality culture through effective training and communication
Conduct product testing to ensure raw materials and finished products are safe for consumers
Review and refine product traceability and crisis management systems
In order to be considered for this opportunity, you will meet the following criteria:
Relevant qualifications in food science or a related discipline
Extensive experience in food safety and technical roles
Multi-site management experience
A track record of implementing and rolling out of food safety programs
Strong communication, problem solving and influencing skills
Show a high level of attention to detail
