Our client in East London is wanting to appoint a Locum Consultant in Public Health.
The portfolio areas to be considered will include some combination of sexual health, substance misuse, tobacco, children and maternal health, and community safety, but there will be opportunity for discussion. This opportunity is available for applicants that wish to work either part or full time.
The role will involve directing the work of a team of at least two public health strategists or senior strategists, or equivalent other public health staff, and being a member of the public health Senior Management Team.
Lead areas are expected to include some combination of :
Sexual Health
Substance Misuse
Tobacco and smoking cessation
NHS Health Checks
Child and Maternal Health
Community Safety and Violence Reduction
The post holder will work in co-operation with other colleagues within Public Health, council directorates, the Clinical Commissioning Group and broader Integrated Care System, the wider NHS and the voluntary sector, and will need to establish and maintain a wide range of working relationships.
This assignment is for an initial period of 3 months with a likely extension thereafter, and the pay rate is £800/day umbrella
