They have approximately 30,000 rented properties in the Borough and they have a major recruitment drive across the team as they significantly step up their activity.

As a Licensing / Housing team leader you will be leading a team of Officers dealing with a range of investigative work, intelligence gathering, dealing with service requests and carrying out initial enforcement related work. You can expect to be working as part of a multi-agency team including the Police, HMRC and Border Control.

You will provide strategic and operational leadership to a team of Licensing Inspection & Enforcement Officers responsible for regulating housing conditions within the private rented sector. Therefore, the candidate must have excellent skills in managing people and have significant experience in managing and developing high performing teams.

Our client is looking for someone highly motivated with substantial knowledge and experience of regulatory work for housing inspection and enforcement, landlord and tenant law. The candidate must have an Environmental Health qualification or relevant experience. You will need to be confident in your communication skills, able to work well under pressure and in difficult situations and be focused on delivering a busy schedule of work.
